Edwin Nunez – His New York Mets Career 1988

Edwin NunezThe Mets acquired right-handed pitcher Edwin Nunez from the Seattle Mariners on July 11, 1988 in exchange for pitcher Gene Walter.  He made his Met debut on July 16th against the Atlanta Braves, he pitched a scoreless 7th inning to earn the victory.  Nunez would go on to appear in 10 games for the Mets, all out of the bullpen, and post a 1-0 record with a 4.50 ERA.  Following the season, he was released by the Mets and he signed as a free agent with the Detroit Tigers.

While with the Mets Nunez wore number 45.
