Dale Thayer – His New York Mets Career 2011

Dale ThayerThe Mets signed right-handed pitcher Dale Thayer as a free agent prior to the 2011 season.  After starting the season in the minors he made his Met debut on May 28th against the Philadelphia Phillies.  He pitched one inning and gave up one run as the Mets lost 5- 2.  He appeared in three more games before being shipped back to the minors.  He returned to the Mets in September to finish out the season.  He appeared in a total of 11 games and posted a 0-3 record with a 3.49 ERA.

Following the season Thayer signed as a free agent with the San Diego Padres.

While with the Mets Thayer wore numbers 46 and 36.

Dale Thayer also played for the following teams:
Tampa Bay Rays – 2009,2010
San Diego Padres – 2012-2015
