Jon Switzer – His New York Mets Career 2009

Jon SwitzerThe Mets signed left-handed pitcher Jon Switzer as a free agent prior to the 2009 season.  After starting the season in the minors, Switzer joined the Mets bullpen in June.  He made his Met debut on June 12th against the New York Yankees.  He allowed one run over 2/3 of an inning.  Switzer would appear in three more games before being shipped back to the minors where he finished out the season.  At the time of his demotion his ERA was 8.10 in 3 1/3 innings.  Following the season, he signed with the Houston Astros.

While with the Mets Switzer wore number 56.

Jon Switzer also played for the Tampa Bay Devil Rays from 2003-2005 and 2007.
