Ronny Cedeno – His New York Mets Career 2012

Ronny CedenoThe Mets signed Ronny Cedeno, a journeyman shortstop, as a free agent on January 6, 2012.  Cedeno would spend the 2012 season serving as a reserve infielder for the Mets.  He would appear in 78 games and hit .259 with 4 home runs and 22 RBIs.  His first home run as a Met occurred on May 17, a three-run homer in the 8th inning that help propel the Mets to a 9-4 victory over the Cincinnati Reds.

Cedeno’s most productive day with the Mets came on August 2 against the San Francisco.  In the Mets 9-1 victory Cedeno went 3-5 with two doubles and 5 RBIs.

Following the season Cedeno signed with the St. Louis Cardinals as a free agent. 

While with the Mets Cedeno wore number 13.
