Emil Brown – His New York Mets Career 2009

Outfielder Emil Brown’s Mets career was a brief one.  It lasted just three games and five at bats.  He made his Mets debut as a pinch hitter for Ken Takahashi on June 4, 2009 against the Pittsburgh Pirates. He grounded back to the pitcher.  His only hit as a Met came in his last at bat with the team two days later.  In the only game he started for the Mets Brown went 1-4 singling in the 9th inning. 

After the game, Brown was sent back down to the minors and was released following the season.

While with the Mets Brown wore number 29.

Emil Brown also played for the following teams:
Pittsburgh Pirates – 1997-2001
San Diego Padres – 2001
Kansas City Royals – 2005-2007
Oakland A’s – 2008
