After spending three seasons in the Mets minor league system shortstop Brian Ostrosser made his Major League debut on August 5, 1973. He entered the game in the 6th inning and struck out in his two plate appearances. He played in four games for the Mets and went 0-5 at the plate before being sent back down to the minors.
