Aaron Sele – His New York Mets Career 2007

Aaron SeleThe Mets signed right-handed pitcher Aaron Sele as a free agent on January 25, 2007.  He pitched exclusively out of the bullpen appearing in 34 games and posted 3-2 record with 5.37 ERA in 53 2/3 innings.

Sele made his Met debut on April 3, throwing the final inning in the Mets 10-0 win over the St. Louis Cardinals.  He earned his first win on April 28 against the Washington Nationals when He pitched 1 1/3 innings of scoreless relief as the Mets won in extra innings 6-2.

2007 would be Sele’s only season with the Mets, in fact it would be his last season as a Major League pitcher.  He was granted free agency following the season but did not sign with anyone.

While with the Mets Sele wore number 30.
