Eric O’Flaherty – His New York Mets Career 2015

Eric OflahertyLooking to bolster their bullpen for the stretch run in 2015 the Mets acquired left-handed reliever Eric O’Flaherty from the Oakland A’s on August 4.  He made his Met debut the next day against the Miami Marlins, pitching 2/3 innings and allowing 4 runs as they held off a late rally to win 8-6.   It was a sign of things to come for O’Flaherty, he appeared in 16 games and posted a 13.50 ERA in 8 2/3 innings. 

The Mets won the Eastern Division and advanced to the postseason but O’Flaherty was left off the playoff roster.  Following the season, he signed as a free agent with the Pittsburgh Pirates.

While with the Mets O’Flaherty wore number 44.

Seattle Mariner – 2006-2008
Atlanta Braves – 2009-2013, 2016,2017
Oakland A’s – 2014,2015
