Garrett Olson – His New York Mets Career 2012

TGarrett olsonhe Mets career of left-handed pitcher Garrett Olson was very brief and very ugly.  After signing as a minor league free agent prior to the 2012 season, Olson began the season pitching for the Triple-A Buffalo Bisons.  When Tim Byrdak went down with an injury for the Mets, Olson was promoted to the big club and made his Met debut on August 8th against the Miami Marlins.  He pitched 1/3 of an inning and gave up 3 earned runs in a game the Mets would lose 13-0.   It would be his only appearance in a Met uniform as three days later he was designated for assignment ending his Mets career.

While with the Mets Olson wore number 38.

Garrett Olson also played for the following teams:
Baltimore Orioles – 2007,2008
Seattle Mariners – 2009,2010
Pittsburgh Pirates – 2011
