Jeff Kaiser – His New York Mets Career – 1993

After being claimed off waivers from the Cincinnati Reds on April 23, 1993 left-handed pitcher Jeff Kaiser made his Met debut a week later. On April 29 he pitched the final inning of the Mets10-5 loss to San Francisco Giants, he gave up two hits and two runs. He made five more appearances out of the Mets bullpen but with very little success. With his ERA at 11.57 he was shipped down to the minors where he finished the season with the Norfolk Tides. With the Tides he went 1-1 with 9 saves.

Following the season, he was granted free agency but did not sign with another team and retired.

While with the Mets Kaiser wore number 56.
